Legal troubles cost Lee a fortune

Tommy’s net worth could have been even over $70 million if he hadn’t found himself in legal troubles and controversies. In 1995, when Pamela Anderson moved in with Lee to their Malibu home after their marriage, renovations were underway at the house. The couple were unhappy with the work and fired several of their employees without pay.

One of the employees got revenge by stealing the couple’s honeymoon sex tape and selling its copies. Anderson and Lee were then forced into a confidential agreement with video distribution company Internet Entertainment Group, which made the tape available to subscribers for a fixed price on its site.

The relationship also didn’t last long as Anderson filed for divorce in 1998, accusing Lee of physical abuse. The musician was then arrested and sentenced to six months in prison. The couple’s legal battle lasted from 2001 to 2002 and was very expensive.
