The 25 best classes halfway to the start of National Signing Day 2021

The first day of college football’s early signing period is nearing the end of Day 1 and the haves create further separation of the have-nots at the top of the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings for the 2022 cycle. Georgia, Alabama and Texas A&M combined to land 12 of 26 five-star rookies for 2022. But perhaps Wednesday’s biggest signing was Travis Hunter, the country’s top prospect, who signed his letter of intent with Jackson State and the Tigers head coach Deion Sanders.

A long-standing Florida state engagement, Hunter overturned at the last hour, a decision that had a ripple effect on college football, raising questions about the new era of name, image and resemblance and its important role in recruiting.

Several of the country’s top unengaged prospects have yet to make their decision, so these updated rankings detailing the top 25 classes are fluid and may change at any time. Keep it here as we try to keep you updated throughout the evening on who leads to the top by the end of the day.
