Rise to Fame as Missandei
Nathalie Joanne Emmanuel is a British actress and model who began her acting career in the theater in the late 1990s. The actress who appeared in small roles was chosen to play Missandei, the interpreter of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones”. In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Emmanuel revealed that she learned that she won the role while working in a clothing store as a saleswoman. She not only rose to fame due to this role, but even her character gained more attention. Missandei was the only significant character who was a woman of color on the show and therefore meant a lot to the people of color who supported her. The scene of the character’s death sparked a great deal of controversy, as it took place while in chains and was seen as an example of the fridge and evocation of an image of slavery. Nonetheless, it helped her career with the actress appearing in many other projects from then on.
What is Nathalie Emmanuel’s net worth?
According to Celebrity Networth, Nathalie has a net worth of $ 4 million. The actress had her great luck when she was chosen to play Missandei, the interpreter of Daenerys Targaryen, in the HBO series “Game of Thrones” based on the books of George RR Martin. Nathalie who began her role as a recurring character was promoted to regular cast member on the series in 2015. Her appearance on the series earned her a salary of around $ 100,000 per episode, which is pretty good for her because Emmanuel was not part of the main cast. This role in “Game of Thrones” opened the door to her opportunities as she landed roles in big budget movies.
In 2015, she played hacker Ramsey in the action film ‘Furious 7’ reprising her role in ‘Fate of the Furious’ in 2017 and ‘F9’ in 2021 which topped $ 1 billion at the box office. She also played Harriet in the sci-fi adventure “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” and once again in the movie “Maze Runner: The Death Cure”, both of which grossed over $ 200 million. It’s safe to assume that Nathalie got her share of these films. She then starred in the romantic comedy television series “Four Weddings and a Funeral” for Hulu, the action comedy series “Die Hart” and voiced Deet in the Netflix series “The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance”. The British actress is doing well and is expected to star in Zack Snyder’s “Army of Thieves”.
