KINGMAN – Glenn Donald Simpson, Jr., 37, of Kingman, was arrested by the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday August 17 on suspicion of drug offenses and three active arrest warrants.

The Sheriff’s Office wrote in a press release that MPs were patrolling the Melody Street and Northfield Avenue neighborhood when they saw a gray sedan pass by. MPs reportedly watched Simpson drive the vehicle, knowing him from previous interactions and knowing he had active mandates.

A roadside check was carried out and a records check revealed that the license plate belonged to a different vehicle. Simpson was arrested at that time and a records check on the VIN number revealed that the registration had expired since 2019.

A subsequent search of the vehicle reportedly revealed two handguns, a shotgun, a set of hooks, 2 grams of methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. Simpson is an owner of prohibited weapons, according to MCSO.

Simpson was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and possession of burglary tools, all felonies, as well as three active arrest warrants.

He was incarcerated in the Mohave County Jail.
