ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz has assets worth Rs 414 million, including 17.8 million shares in no less than 21 companies.
According to his Statement of Assets and Liabilities for the year 2019-2020, the total value of his investments was estimated at Rs 132 million, excluding the value of 4.5 million shares which he were donated by members of his family.
He owns three agricultural properties, one of which is valued at Rs 30 million, while the other two were gifted to him by his brother, Suleman Shehbaz. He has a bank balance of 9.8 million rupees and cash/prize bonds.
On the other hand, his wife, Mehrunissah Hamza, has a net worth of Rs3.5 million while that of his other wife, Rabia, totals Rs37.45m. The outgoing chief minister is also among the lawmakers who do not have a car.

Meanwhile, former Punjab chief minister Sardar Usman Buzdar owns more than a dozen properties worth Rs 35 million. He also owns three tractors and two cars, including one inherited from his father.
Sheikh Alauddin of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is the wealthiest member of the Punjab Assembly – one of the few declared billionaires in the house.
He owns more than two dozen commercial, residential and agricultural properties worth Rs 353 million and has invested Rs 927 million in seven different businesses including a hotel.
He has bank deposits of over 406 million rupees and has granted a loan of 87.9 million rupees to two people.
Amjad Mehmood Chaudhry, a member of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) of PP-13 (Rawalpindi), ranks second on the list of wealthy Punjab MPAs with a net worth of Rs 1.32 billion.
He owns commercial, residential and agricultural properties valued at Rs 889 million in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi – most of them in Bahria city projects.
He also owns property in the UK and UAE worth Rs 51 million and Rs 74 million respectively and owns 11 vehicles.
Similarly, Ammar Siddique Khan of PP-19 (Rawalpindi) declared assets worth more than Rs 600 million including dozens of properties.
Former Education Minister Murad Raas has assets worth Rs 380 million while PTI MPA Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed has amassed assets of Rs 180 million.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the assets of Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi are worth over Rs 200 million and owns non-agricultural land valued at over Rs 60 million.
The Punjab Assembly Speaker has declared a flour mill worth Rs 9.9 million while his wife owns assets worth Rs 100 million.
The Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Sibtain Khan, owns assets worth Rs 10 million. However, he did not declare the value of his farmland.
Provincial Finance Minister Awais Leghari has assets worth Rs 440 million.
