An abundance of starfish washed up on the northern end of Tybee Island. Police encourage visitors not to take them home as souvenirs.

An abundance of starfish has washed up on the northern end of Tybee Island in recent days. The Tybee Island Police Department would like to remind everyone that it is a violation of the City of Tybee Island’s order to take marine life off the beach. Instead of taking starfish as souvenirs, beachgoers are encouraged to put creatures like starfish and sand dollars back into the water or not touch them at all.

An abundance of starfish has washed up on the northern end of Tybee Island in recent days.
